Battle of the Burgers…Vegan Burgers to be exact! I stopped eating beef a long time ago, long before going vegan. I was one of those people who believed that eating chicken and turkey instead of beef made me healthier. That’s what I had seen in so many news reports. It was the hardest sacrifice in life that I ever had to make. I loved burgers, and there was nothing, in my opinion, more satisfying than a good old burger and fries. I tried them all too--McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s, Jack In The Box, Sonic, Whataburger, In-N-out, you name it. I tried them all, and loved them all. It was hard to go wrong with a burger. When I went vegan, I decided to incorporate veggie burgers into my new vegan diet, hoping that I could find one that might pass for beef. I set out on a mission to find the best vegan veggie burger there is. Lucky for me, the search didn’t take long. On my third try, I found the best veggie burger on the planet-A burger that tastes just like BEEF. My first stop was Red Robin on just my third day of veganism. I was only going here because I couldn’t think of any food that I wanted to eat that would also fit into my vegan diet. Shockingly, all of the trendy salad and green places that I visited were relying on a lot of chicken and dairy to make their products flavorful. I figured I would just eat a lot of Red Robin’s bottomless fries and settle for an edible fake burger. I will give the Red Robin veggie burger 3 stars, only because the best burger definitely deserves to have 4 stars in isolation.
